The Fraser Governance Review

The Fraser Governance Review

In December 2015 Industry Super Australia (ISA) and Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) asked Mr Bernie Fraser to lead a review of governance arrangements of the not for profit superannuation funds. The review was initiated following discussions with the Government over its' Bill to impose new governance arrangements upon the successful not for profit superannuation sector, and consultations with the then Senate cross-bench.

Since that time Mr Fraser has engaged in an extensive consultation process with representatives of the industry superannuation funds and their union and employer sponsoring organisations, regulators, international experts, Senate cross-benchers and other parliamentarians.

A final report was released on 16th of February 2017.
